So the XK-120 has the "cigar" lighter in the dash. Is there an adapter I can plug in to adapt a modern 12V plug (i.e. GPS unit or phone charger) to this socket? Keeping in mind, of course, the positive ground nature of this car's electrical system....

Got an adapter, adapted it, it works, and I didn't burn the car down! I call that a win-win!
