Default 1952 Jaguar XK 120 Reproduction For Sale

A friend passed away and his widow has ask me to sell his 1952 Jaguar XK 120 Reproduction. I've looked at the car, needs light cosmetic and mechanical work, body and drivetrain are in great shape. Located in Nashville, TN. Any suggestions on selling? I can provide additional info.

Pretty....I'd have a full bank of high res. photos inside and out. Q: what have you found re: the retail value?

My first car was a XK140 but long since gone....I'll not be in the league to pop the 100K+ they now go for. I think this car, even as a faux 120 is nice. Just as a conversation I would have liked to see a 4.2 Jag power plant vs. the 302 Ford...sound of the dohc jag mill would have made this baby sing.

Anyway, I prattle.

Take a lot of pictures and look for some comps on ebay, Hennings, etc.

Best of luck to you. I'm sure this repro was highly loved and prized...a nice alternative to what have now become out of sight prices for John Q....of which I happen to be one.

Good for you. Quite frankly I wasn't aware that there was a repro 120 or 140 made.

I did some web searching and was pleasantly, very pleasantly surprised to see quite a community of after market builds. They ranged in price from 10,000 lbs. sterling into the $89,000 dollar range. Some with, as yours did, the small ford v8 and other with the 70's 4.2L jag motors.

Very interesting. Glad to hear of your successful sale.
