Rear Dampers (Shock Absorbers)
I understand that Jaguar XK 120 uses Girling PV 7 as rear dampers (shock Absorbers).
Do Early Jaguar Mark V, 3.5 lit engine, Saloon, also use the same dampers or are they different in MK V?

The XK120 uses a shortened version of the Mark V chassis and the same suspension, so apart from spring and damper rates, I would think the items are physically identical. However to confirm try this web supplier: -

XK120 shows rear shock part numbers are C7214E & C7214E
Mark V is C3191 and C3192, so different. I suspect this is because the damper setting is different rather than being physically different, but you need somebody more expert than me, I'm afraid
Both dampers are the lever arm type.

Thanks for being helpful Fraser. I really appreciate.
Please let me know what is the difference in the left and the right shock absorber, is it just the change of sides (direction) of the arm as the SA would be moving in both the directions?
