Default UnderCarriage Steam Cleaning

Greetings again folks, and thanks to those who answered my starter help questions. So now I'm well underway.

Next up... now that the engine bay is void of all of it's precious metals, my hope is to find and trailer it to a local Pro Undercarriage steam cleaning shop to rid it of its 60 years of grease, grime and whatever else is growing deep down in the bowels of that cavern. Literally a couple of inches of build up. Naturally I plan to take care and protect all of the remaining water sensitive bits (Fuse box etc) as well as masking off the cockpit.

I really didn't want to simply use a half dozen cans of Gunk or similar, and drag it to the local self service car wash for a pressure spray all that mess down the drain, and into the ocean.

Does anyone have any 1st hand experience at this that they might lend to me and even better, are there any So-Cal members here know of a shop that can do this taking the correct precautions?

After that, I'm hoping able to get a better look at the suspension, steering components and bushings etc. to assess what replacements are needed down there.

Semi-unrelated... The plywood floorboards and Boot floor (which appear the originals) are in decent shape, but thought for as cheap as it would be to draw templates and replace them. So 2 questions. Should I, or would that lessen it's "originality"? And if I were to replace them, should I be using a marine grade Ply? Not that rain or water is much of an issue here these days.

So anyway, any advice is greatly appreciated.

Cheers & Best, Arlo
