Default 01 xk8 Throttle body ?

The EGR breather tube from the valve cover to the throttle body broke when I went to check the EGR system (I was getting oil in my TB), so I had to take the top of the TB off to get to the hose connection at the TB. The upper TB mates to the lower part and has a metal gasket, can this gasket be reused?

I am getting P0171 and P0174 codes, plus misfires on all cylinders and it seems to be getting worse.

In a pinch the metal gasket can be cleaned and re-used if the black coating is intact; but the best course is to use a new one.

I assume you are talking about the breather tube that goes to the LH cam cover. That is the crankcase breather system and not the EGR. It is most likely the reason for the misfires and lean codes. After it tees off at the throttle body, it twists around to the purge valve also. Generally trying to fix that brittle hose doesn't work out very well, really needs to be replaced.

Good luck!

Thanks, I just replaced that hose and started getting the codes after I replaced the hose. I have been wondering if maybe the metal gasket was leaking, as I cannot find a leak elsewhere and causing my codes.
