Default 03 XK8 headed to the shop today

Since I have the money for this one I am sending in my car in for the trans flush and getting the rear end fluid replaced also. My car has the hard shifts time to time and the squonk sound a little from the trans also. In a few days i should be able to report back with how the trans is acting then. If shifts 95% of the time correctly but at 105k I want to get this fluid change done. Yea yea I could prob do it myself but I am too lazy (it is hot as **** outside also) and this one I can afford to pay for.
I also still have a shake up in the front on bad roads. It is not bad and I don't hear thumping noises or the like. I just get a light shaking feeling on the steering wheel with the top up or down.

These cars don't seem to be able to go for more than a year without getting some new clonk from the front suspension, I have never come across such a fragile car before.

The shop is an European repair shop, I have used them since 09. They work on Jags, have done this job many times. They are going with fact spec stuff.

the front end feel in the steering wheel is more a slight shaking over bumps then any noises, non of that. Over bumps if I hold on the wheel lightly you feel something in the front like it is not snug, sorta like a feeling of a fish biting on your line in the water, tugging feeling is the only way I can explain it.

Don't forget the possibility of an unbalanced tire.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but how much are they charging you to do the job? I want to do the same on my 03 and I'm just getting ready to start shopping for prices.

Thanks

They are charging 850 and change for the Trans fluid change, ZF pan and filter and the same type of trans fluid that is in the car. They ran across 4 pan bolts that needed HELP in getting them out. That was what i was afriad of and did not want to deal with that and putting the new fluid in it, all while up on jack stands. This time around I chose to just bite the bullet and pay for it.
They found nothing up front out of order and since I replaced most of the stuff up there expect ball joints I think I will throw a strut brace on it and let it ride. I do have a front rim that is bent/warped that I never had fixed. You only feel that shake/vibration at HWY speeds.
The tapping in the back I had been hearing was the left rear end link. So having those done also.

They did not see the sticker on the trans from any reprogram of the trans computer that also was a fix back in the day for this hard shifts/squonk issue these get. I thought I had looked and saw that my VIN fit in the TSB for the reprogram.

Well Trans is flushed. Going to pick it up and see how it shifts now. The rear sway bar links where not the issue, rattle noise in left rear end remains and they can not isolate a part that it may be. So we are back at it maybe being a shock!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Rear end flush not done. No drain hole and said it is an invloved job to get to the fill plug I think it was. He said that jag has it as a life time sealed. So i passed on that repair, frankly I never have done that job on any car anyways.

Got her back. So far the Trans is shifting great. No hard shifts or the few other odd things it did. They did pull a P0780 Shift Malfuncton code, I assume that was due to the hard shifts. That is a P code, no check light ever came on?!?!??!?!?!
They also say there is seepage from the axle seals and pinion shaft and that those should be topped off with factory Jag fluid????
