I want to thank jagtechohio. I did a search and found a number of members with strong smells getting into the cabin. Couldn't find any of the suggestions that would help me except jagtechohio suggested the valve cover gaskets. Got me to thinking. Just changed the oil so it's flowing real easy. I was on the highway doing 65+. I lose a half quart of synthetic oil between 5,000 mile changes. Don't see any drips on the epoxied floor so there's no filter or plug leaks. No smoke even on hard exeleration and deexceleration. Think I have a similar minor problem with my x-type but the smell is no way as bad. Still wondering how the smell is getting into the cabin. I don't have a cabin filter, but the smell still has to be leaving the engine bay. The firewall gasket looks ok although a little flat. Any ideas? Jack
