170+?
While prerusing Dallas cars for sale, I came across this ad. The owner claims to have taken it over 170 mph. BS or possible? I always thought the speed limiter would prevent this.

I’ve read several posts where delimited XKRs have done 170+ Easily and reporting in the 180 figures.
I personally know a guy that took his Silver XKR all the way to the limiter and it felt like it had plenty of engine yet to go. This particular handsome gentleman was too busy looking at the road flying by to report actual numbers of the rev counter unfortunately.
There are a few posts on piston heads, etc., if you want to search XKR top speed without limiter
