1997 Jaguar xk8 both tail light assemblies went out

Can Anyone give me an answer as to why both of my tail light assemlies went out at the same time on my 1997 XK8 . Now i have no tail lights. Thanks

I had a connector on my 97 xk8 wiring harness go bad. I was unable to determine reason. Looked like it might have corroded.

grounds always melt.. sometimes it melts the whole plastic connector ..

Can you pull off the panels and look-see the housing and harness? Follow the wiring harness to where you see one or two wire end connectors attached by screws to the body structure. You should be at the end of the harness back there so the number(s) of wires will be limited. gordo
