I understand that the numbers changed in 1998. On my 1997, my starter relay says RJ61. My engine management fuse box relay is also RJ61. My fuel injection relay says RJHD. It looks like the ignition coil relay is OBD.

A friend was doing some testing and juggling these around a bit, so I want to make sure they are back in the right place.

Look at where the relays plug in. Most of the relays are 4 Prong Bosch style relays, and there are a few 5 prong relays. Simply look where the prongs go, and you will see either 4 metal female terminals inside the plug, or 5.

 

So, do I take it that all "brown" relays with the same prong configuration and part numbers are the same, even the codes such as RJ61 and RJHD on top are different? I can interchange the fuel injection and starter relay relays? I don't want to, but it may have been done already.
