Three weeks ago I cleaned the engine compartment with S100 and a light water spray the next day I got a check engine light and rough idle. I suspected something was wet so after a week or so I cleared codes and restarted and in a few minutes got the ce light and restricted performance message again.

Codes are P0306 cylinder 6 misfire
P1314 bank2 cat malfunction
P1316 injector problem

The car is 1997 XK8 58000 miles don't know if the plugs have ever been replaced, I'm not sure what to do, I know you guys can help.

Same thing happened to me once, water got down behind the cover of the coils/plugs. Water had pooled down at the base of the tube that the spark plug and coil pack sits. Turns out that the water can't evaporate off down in that tube.

Worth checking the free downloads but to me P1314 and P1316 are not those meanings. They are misfires so bad they're damaging the cats so do not drive till you fix the fault(s).

All is well the plugs had water around them. I replaced the plugs and problem solved.
