Default Loose headliner

My XK8 has loose headliner in a couple of places. Does anyone have any top tips on whether it is best to just replace it or can the original liner be stripped back and reglued?

Default Coupe or Convertible?

Either way, the foam backing to the lining disintegrates, so it's generally a case of replacing the fabric.

The Convertable is much easier to do than the Coupe.

a new headliner is about $300, so it is probably worth replacing, especially since it will likely start falling in other places due to dried foam.

It's very easy to replace the fabric. Make sure you use a high temperature contact adhesive though.
