1997 xk8 conv top motor

Default 1997 xk8 conv top motor
hello everyone, new to the forum. i have a 97 xk8 conv and think the top motor might be going bad. any suggestions on where to geta new motor. or i've also heard that people who work on rc motors might be able to fix it??

thanks in advance for the direction!

The fluid in these likes to congeal. I would have someone check it out before condemning the motor. Too many possiblities to just start flinging parts at it.

yes i wud check the fluid .. its expensive but cheaper then a motor.
