1999 XK8 ABS/Stability control failure
I'm currently in the process of fixing up a car I bought more or less abandoned in a parking lot. I would intermittently get the ABS/Stability Control warning lights on. My scanner indicated wheel speed sensors, ABS Module and brake switch. I replaced the brake switch and wheel speed sensors with new ones, and bought a used ABS control unit and pump from eBay. I continue to get the brake switch and ABS pump failure messages from IDS. I've tried using pump 1 with control unit 2 and vice versa. I've touched a 12v supply to both pumps and they spin freely.
I REALLY want to avoid replacing the brake switch again, despite it probably being under warranty. When viewing real time data on the scanner, the brake switch always appears to work fine.
Is there a common source for these problems I'm overlooking?

Have you replaced the car battery? Many errors on the X100 stem from an old battery. Also try adding an additional earth cable to the battery, the negative terminal cable is also known to give problems.
Then check the forum etc. for the inevitable ABS module solder joint repair, everyone gets it eventually. Even if you have swapped the module, if the module does not show signs of someone being inside it, then it could easily have the same solder joint problem. It is common and well understood.
the other thing I would check is if you have an early car, does it have and earth wire with the abs sensor wire connected the the front wheel hubs, if so check those.

I have never seen a faulty wheel speed sensor unless there are physically damaged.
As JimmyL stated, the link harnesses to the speed sensors fail.
I have never see an ABS pump motor unit fail, it is always the control module.
C1095 is the power pins needing solder.
