Unhappy 1999 XK8 wheel offset?!

Hey guys, this may have been discussed on this forum several times but I tried searching for this answer before posting my question.

I've searched all over the internet (including this forum) for the OEM wheel offset for a 1999 XK8.

Between Google, and posts on this site I've noticed about 4 different offsets.

So my question is..I'm wanting to upgrade my fac 17 wheels to 19...What is the recommended offset (for 19's) that will stay within the wheel well.

I've seen offsets +10 -+25, +33, +34... Also if you have tire size recommendation(s)

Like I said this may have been discussed on here, I've tried searching for ONE answer, and became confused after seeing so many answers..

Please help...

That's because there were 4 different diameter wheels used over the years (17,18,19,20) on XK8 and XKR models and a few different offsets, usually 33-35.

The 8" wide were ET 33-35, 9" wide 35. The 20x9 fronts were ET 30 and 20x10 rears were ET 25.

You could always take your wheels off and check the offset on the back.

Depending on the wheel width, the offset could be within a range of the factory offset (example: ET 20-40mm) and fit.

Steve, good post. Hopefully answers the OP's question.

What we can only give you is the range of OEM offsets that we know works.

What we can't give you is the maximum offset to which it will just reach the fender...not many have attempted that.

You could play with what widths and offsets will work:

Default Wow!

This was really frustrating the heck outta me....You guys are great!!! I love this site. Thanks for the quick and informative answers/suggestions. I have the star/flower (17's)looking wheels that came on the 99's. I will remove and check the back of one of the wheels tomorrow. Thanks again fam
