Okay, first things first...what is the status of the battery? Is it fully charged? Do you hear the fuel pump run (~a few seconds) to prime the fuel system when the key is turned on?

More information would help us help you.

Welcome to the forum weekends Only,

If it wasn't on a battery tender then you have almost zero chance of it starting after that length of time. These cars are very sensitive to battery condition and charge.

As stated above your suffering from bore wash. First make absolutely sure the battery has a full charge. Then you want to press the pedal all the way to the floor and hold it there. Next crank the engine for 3 to 5 seconds and stop. Keep the pedal on the floor and repeat the crank for 3 to 5 seconds, 3 or 4 more times. Now for the final time with the pedal on the floor still crank the engine to start it. As you are cranking slowly release the pedal up from the floor and it should start up,
Don't get discouraged and give up if you have to repeat the crank cycles. Some will fire up after 3 or 4 short cranks and one fellow had 10 cranks before it started.
Holding the pedal on the floor shuts off fuel to the injectors and the cranking allows oil to re-coat the cylinder walls restoring compression.

Vern,

Thank you, that did the trick. The battery was down to 8-9 volts. It took a while to bring it to full charge. it only took 2 crank cycles..

the battery is now garbage and cannot be relied upon. when they are discharged this much, especially for a long time, the ability to maintain load at voltage is diminished.
