2000 XK8 Air Con on UK vehicle
Hi. Assuming faulty Air Con on the 4.0 XK does not need gassing, are we likely to be looking at serious repair bills for it? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
The A/C will lose refrigerant over time. It's approximately 5% per year.
Unless you have evidence of a leak or component failure, you could be thinking the worst when a re-gas is all that's needed.
My 2005 XK8 wasn't chilling at all last year and all it needed was gas. My 2007 XK is barely chilling and I'm expecting the same will resolve this before I head down in your direction to hotter temperatures.
