2000 xk8 convertible fault codes
Bought a 2000 xk8 4 months ago with 45,000 miles and have several fault codes more up: TRAC, ASC failure, gear box failure, failed safe engine mode....
Help!
In reading some posts, some say to make sure battery is good.... Where do you buy a jaguar battery without paying through the nose at a jaguar dealership in Atlanta?
Any other recommendations?

I responded to your previous duplicate message in the thread started by hawaiianjag. Please continue posting in this thread, not that one.
It is almost always better to start a new thread, rather than using an older one that may not share all your problems.

I purchased a vented battery last week at NAPA for about $140. Both Autozone and Advance Auto Parts were selling essentially the same battery for about $160. Shop around for deals and be sure to check the coupons on the store's websites....

Check the battery first and then read the OBDII codes document the codes then clear them and see if they come back. When you get the codes then post them so we can see what is going on.

Have you made any progress with the battery issue? My offer to help by reading codes still stands. I have the Autoenginuity software.
Replaced battery for $140 (the old battery was not fully charged per the guy at the shop)...after replacing the battery, windows didn't go all the way up and stereo doesn't crank as loud as it used to... My wife bought me an XK8 manual off of ebay and I was able to fix the windows... Stereo still not as loud as before but I can deal with that... So far so good... Thank you everyone for your replies!
