My stereo head unit is virtually shot (alpine). I've been to multiple stereo shops in my area attempting to replace my factory unit with an after market unit. However, I'm told that there's not a conversion trim ring for my model jag. Supposedly every year of jag has a conversion kit/trim ring except a 2000.

That being said, no local shops have the ability to "create" this specialized trim ring for under $325.

My question: Is there truly not a trim ring/kit that will allow me to switch out the head unit to an after market version? The 2000 xk8 is really that different from any other years?
