I have a buddy in town with a low mile mint 2000 xk8 vert. He got the transmission fault error. WHat happens is he goes to take off it will buck with a hard shuttering sound. If he shuts it off fault goes away but then comes back immediately and same thing. If he goes real easy on the throttle it will gradually get up to speed but you can get on it. This is a pampered car and it just kind of happened one day. Any ideas? If it were my xkr...well Id know where to look

Will it give a code? My xkr code when I had transmission fault didn't help me at all!..Ill tell him to get some codes

Im going to try to get out to him to run codes. I'm heading to FL for a few days for work so likely next week. It was an all of a sudden thing so I'm not thinking catastrophe but I'm just unsure about that transmission. Thanks again all
