Tried charging battery with cables connected and the alarm beeps. Disconnected neg. cable and seems OK. Could I have done some damage?
Haven't started car yet.

 

If the ignition was on you definitely could have caused some damage. Even with it off that's risky. But you won't know until the battery is charged and you start the car.

I would not try to start it with the charger connected.

I wouldn't recommend charging a battery (in these cars) with the battery connected, just remove the ground. You'll need to reset your windows and radio codes if you not US which will take no more than 5 mins but may save some other electrical snafuu

 

Thank all of u. Connected ground back on, all alarms went off. Unlocked with remote, alarms went off. Started it, reved pretty high then calmed down and all seems OK. Just wanted to ask you guys before I started it.
