My XKR just started overheating. First the loud fan would come on after I shut the car off. Then I was driving and noticed my AC wouldn't get cold. Finally, the temperature needle bumped up a little bit showing that it was over heating. I was only a few miles from home so I turned the heater on full blast and the temp dropped back down within a minute. Haven't driven it since.

Does that sound like a Thermostat? What are all of your thoughts?

I bought a thermostat to put in it just to see if that would fix it but it looks pretty tight to get to the housing. Does the Super Charger have to be removed to replace the Thermostat?

I would appreciate any kind of help you guys can offer on this one.

Thanks for your thoughts on the subject. I am DEFINATELY "NOT DRIVING" until this is resolved.

I am not exactly a wizard with a wrench but I can hold my own. Is a thermostat a DIY job or is it more complicated than it is worth with the Supercharger?
