2001 XK8 Fuel line replacement
I have a 2001 xk8 convertible with a leak in the black rubber fuel line under the car just above the rear axle. How do I fix it? Do I have to remove the fuel tank?
There are TWO fuel lines above the rear suspension.
Dropping the suspension is likely the best way to get at them.
One is short. (fuel tank to fuel filter)
The other is longer. (fuel tank all the way to the bulkhead)
They are BOTH NLA.
You will need to get creative or find a good-used part.

I see that the fuel return line has a connector about where the fuel filter is on the feed line so both lines are relatively short from tank to filter or connector.
NJE5998BA = rear feed pipe
NJE6001BA = rear return pipe
High pressure fuel injection safe rubber hoses are also readily available. There are various devices for crimping them into the metal part of the fuel line as needed, Much in the same manner high pressure hydraulic hoses are fabricated by shops catering to the construction equipment industry. Hydraulic hoses, by the way, are built to withstand much more pressure than a normal fuel line.
Still, admittedly a shame no one is manufacturing these fuel line piece already made up.
