Default 2001 xk8 trunk wiring

Hello
I have a wire in the trunk that has been cut off and I dont know where it goes.
It is in the wire harness coming forward from the trunk fuse box by the passenger side bumper aft of the battery and runs along the outboard side of the battery before it makes a turn to towards the center of the car......
Right in the area the harness bends to the left, there is a green/white wire enclosed in a black sheath. It should be obvious as it looks like the only wire exitiing from the harness at that point.
For the life of me I can not see where the other end is even after rotating the wire around in a radius to look for connection.
Anybody that has a 2001 xk8 (convert??) and can spend a minute looking in their trunk would be appreciated.
Other years may be the same......dont know.....but wire is green/white.
Thanks in advance!!!!
(I have the wiring diagram.....all 146 pages, but can not figure it out....lol)

There's a white/green wire which is the +12v supply to a telephone module in the trunk. Maybe your car had one of these originally - now removed as they are pretty much obsolete these days.

Look for the 'transit-isolation device' on the left of figure 1.1 of your wiring diagram. You'll see the white/green wire. The device is for new car transport only and is removed by the dealer.

OK....found it!
I will trace it back and see where it is on the connector plug.......it seems to be in the correct harness.
THANKS!!!!!
Makes sense there is no "other end" visible.....

Reading another thread, it seems it is attached to the battery which is just the right length for the wire and would explain why it has a black rubber tube over it.
I will relax......thanks again!
