Cool 2001 XKR Auto Trans Filler cap removal

Hello all. I am trying to figure out how to get this charging tube cap off! My car has been sitting for about 6 weeks and there is a puddle under it, it appears to be tranny fluid, so I would like to check the level, I have heard of a way to do this with a long zip tie, and marking the cold and hot levels on the tie, but, I can't figure out how to get the cap off, seems you need some kind of tool?? It looks like it is a Mercedes Benz tranny, the cap says MB shop only, or something like that. Can anyone help?! or offer some tips??

You can get the replacement locking pins fron a Mercedes or Chrysler dealer for under a buck.

The portion of the old red clasp should be reinserted, and can later be removed with a small screwdriver...or you can use a new one. If you do not put any locking clasp back, the black cap might vibrate loose and contaminants will get in your transmission.
