I recently purchased a 2002 XK8 and want to change the factory unit to a JVC AVX77 unit. I've purchased the replacement console panel that accepts the aftermarket unit and the adaptor to fill the space.
My question is will the factory amp work with an aftermarket unit. My installer pulled up the schematics and said if I could find an aftermarket adaptor it would help. It seems I can find several adapters but they all say not for amp system.

I admittedly know very little about audio and would like to use the factory system with this JVC unit.

Can anyone steer me to the appropriate thread or give me any suggestions.
