Gentle listers, a friend of mine has asked me about XK8s in general and I have a lot of info on them (not the least is this forum), but not on the particular one on Craig's List he has asked me about. If any of you Dallas folks (or others) have looked into this one. Please let me know. He says it has a Salvage Title and the price is about $5,700 IIRC. I personally think the salvage title is a deal killer, but he persists. So, does anyone know about this particular one? He is really thinking with his heart and not his big head.

Salvage titles are not a deal breaker if there is something to prove why and that the issue has been resolved. However, it will greatly affect pricing and certainly resale. Bottom line, he better check it out very well and intend to keep it for the long haul.

Personally, there are too many XK8's out there without issues. I would pass on it.

 

Be sure to check with your insurance company. Some will not insure any salvage title. Good luck. steve in cape coral
