2002 XKR Drivers side Seat Module
My drivers seat moves forwards and backwards but the seat back will only go back. I believe that I need a new seat module. Is it possible to swap the passenger seat module to see if the seat module is the problem. If I do need a new seat module, does anyone know the seat module part number? Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark-
Yes, you can swap the modules as a test.
If it is a bad module (which is likely), it is usually due to broken circuit board tracks right at the edge of the board. The easiest fix is to solder wires to the endpoints of the broken tracks.
There are a few threads on this DIY, and also referencing one or two guys who will do this repair for you.

Swap worked on mine
My 2000 XK8 driver side was not working at all. I took the module from the passenger side and plugged it into the driver side and it worked no problem. I believe (not positive) that the part number was the same for both sides so you should be able to get the number from either of the modules.

My driver's side seat would do everything but move forward and back. I swapped seat modules, and it still didn't work. I plugged in the passenger seat switch, that has everything except the memory hookup, and the seat moved forward and backward. I took apart the driver's switch, and found that some ape had played with it, and it simply needed to be put together correctly, saving my self $150 for an as is no return ebay switch, or $750 from the dealer. The screws on the switch back take the smallest torx wrench I had ever seen. I think, looking through my thick glasses it said 6.......my 2 cents....Mike
