2003 XK8 Alpine(premium) Sound System
Hi! I am the PROUD new owner of a 2003 XK8! I want to replace EVERYTHING in the sound system. Please tell me all you can about the system....

- speaker locations
- speaker mounting depth .
- sub woofer location and size...

You should start by telling everything you can about the car. Coupe and Convertible speaker installations are different.
I've moved your post from Jaguar Forums Advice / Feedback & Suggestion Center section to XK8/XKR section. The Advice/Feedback section is NOT for technical questions.

Congratulations on your new Jag and welcome to the forum.
Do some searches on this forum, there are many here who have done everything from mild upgrades to near competition level replacements. Lots of advice to be had.
One suggestion if I may. Live with the car a while before you go nuts with the audio. Two reasons: 1) there will be some mechanical issues you will want to address in a 10 year old car, and 2) consider the lack of acoustics in a convertible. With the top down you can get louder, but you are never going to get concert quality sound. The OEM system is better than many and was designed to take advantage of the car's layout.
Plus you may find the sound of that volume pedal under your right foot is all the music you will need.

Thanks for the welcome...am glad to be here!
I am going to go full speed ahead with the audio upgrade. I'm more of a cruiser than a racer! LOL
What is everyone's opinion about my candidates for replacing the 64mm (2.5 inch) mid ranges? (see link below)
