2003 XKR

You may have better luck posting in the classified, or at a minimum in the part of the forum dedicated to that model year.... This section is dedicated to 2007 and newer...
BOL!

Mickey50, I've moved your post from the XK/XKR section to the XK8/XKR section which is specific to the model year in question.

I found my 2003 XK8 by monitoring AutoTrader.com, Hemmings.com, Cars.com, and MotorTrend.com, all of which allow you to set up a set of criteria and then save the search, even send you emails (or texts) with new listings that match.
The reason I was fixed on 2003 (or 2004, in my case) was that that was the year a whole bunch (450-850, depending on what you read) of small improvements were made, the big problems had already been engineered out (Nicasil, tensioners), and the body was still the beautiful, clean, un-fiddled original design. (Not that the newer ones aren't beautiful, but just as I believe the first XKEs and Miata MX5s were the finest, compared to the later models, so it is with the XK8 . . . for me; maybe mickey50, too.)
I found mine in Miami after only a few months, with only 13.5K miles on it, and had the pleasure of driving it back to Oklahoma while getting to know it better, enjoying every mile, top down and top up.
Be patient, and good luck!
Mike
