2003 XKR Convertible Boot/Trunk Dimensions?
A friend has asked me to bring a 90cmx70cm, 36"x 28" stained glass window back from London to Geneva for them when I pick up the car.
I have already said no problem but now I wonder?
The question is will it fit in the trunk or sitting on the back seat next to the imaginary people that are supposed to be able to sit there?
cheers,
jj

I just measured my car. It MIGHT fit in the trunk. The trunk is only 27 inches from front to back, however towards the bottom of the trunk there's a cavity that you might be able to slide the window into, that would give you enough room. If you're carrying any luggage in the trunk then the window will not fit.
In the back seat the problem is the width. The two subwoofer enclosures make the back seat narrower than 36 inches, but here's plenty of height for the 28 inch dimension. If you slide both seats forward slightly the window can fit directly behind the seats. You'd basically be pinching it between the seat and the subwoofers.

Thanks Rev.!
You are very kind and thoughtful to go to all that trouble to measure and check your car for me, I really appreciate it.
And so does my friend who I just had tea and cake with this afternoon and is excited to install her window in her renovated house in the Alps here down the street from us.
I am sure I can live with the seats forward for one trip if necessary.
Now I will stop worrying about the window and look forward to the drive across southern England and France.
Where are you in N.C.?
I am overdue to visit a buddy in Rock Hill, SC who is a pilot for US Air out of Charlotte and may have to get over there in the next months.
Speaking of which I very nearly bought an '02 XKR in NC that was a beautiful gun metal grey but decided against the hassle of shipping it over here.....see if I can find that ad again and send it to you.
Thanks again,
jj
