Default 2003 XKR disc and engine system fault

I have 80K on the clock. I have been getting a disc system and an engine system fault in amber and red light respectively. When they come on the engine only allow the car to move at a snails pace. When I turn off the engine and restart it the lights disappear and everything is back to normal until the next time. Has anyone experienced this and knows what is wrong? My car dealer has not been able to identify the problem.

Get the fault codes read and post them here - without the codes there's no real way of diagnosing the possible causes.

Dennis, do yourself a favour and fully charge your battery first.

It maybe a sign of a failing battery as you say when you turn off and on again everything is normal.

At least you won't spend anything and it might just be your problem.

You need a code reader, if you don't have one your local Canadian Pyre can read the codes for you. Please don't let them work on it!
Take Jim's advice, charge your battery fully, 90% of electrical problems are caused by low voltage. Might need a battery replacement, have it checked.
