2004 XK8 After market Alpine stereo installation?
Hi folks,
My eyes are bleary from reading all the threads about swapping out a stock, non premium Alpine stereo for an aftermarket head...however, all of them appear to be for pre 2002 XK8s. This wouldn't appear to be an issue, except all the conversion harnesses I can find ( for example Autoleads PC2-55-4 ) seem to state "for 1998-2002 XK8". However, sometimes they say "for 1998 onward". I would certainly LOVE it if it were as simple as just purchasing the PC2-55-4, however I'm not real comfortable ordering a harness from Great Britain and waiting a few weeks for it, only to find it won't work for my 2004 XK8.
Would anyone here have any experience with swapping out a 2004 XK8 head, and if so, did you use the PC2-55-4 harness, or another harness...or possibly just went to town with the wire cutters and electrical tape?
I'm currently looking at purchasing an Alpine-UTE-62BT and for the steering wheel controls.
Again, I currently have the Alpine "non-premium" radio tape deck with 6 CD changer ( which is coming out as soon as the new head is installed ) in my 2004 XK8 convertible.
Anyone have experience with this task? Any information would be sincerely appreciated, thank you in advance!

Ok, maybe a different approach...I have the stereo wiring diagram ( non-premium ) for the 2003 XK8, would anyone know if 2004 is the same pinout/wiring? Or possibly have the wiring diagram for a 2004? I'm not worried about the color codes, more so the pinout on the connectors IC19 and IC20.
Thank you in advance!

Thank you michaelh, appreciate it!
Just by pure chance, I happened to stumble across a wiring harness that WILL work for a 2004 XK8.....
InCarTec 29-700
Only available from the UK, but hopefully they will ship the to the US.
