can anyone share an aftermarket part numbered fuel filter that will fit tightly in the factory bracket ?
in reading here i see it should be 5/16th's spigots on both ends ?

ok...no responses....so further reading and a few trips to the autoparts store and BAMM !

a WIX 33078 is an identical match in size/ fit.
it is a 20 micron filtration which seems to be common.

 

i believe this style of filter fits 2003 to 2006 XK8/ XKR.... X100's

I wondered why you would bother to look for an alternative .......... until I saw the cost from Jaguar.

The C2S20977 fuel filter element has certainly rocketed in price since I had my XK8's and is now 75 UKP including tax.

In addition to the WIX option you found, Berkshire Jag Components list a Bosch alternative:




Deliberately photographed to partially hide the P/N but I'm sure it wouldn't take much research to find it.

S N G Barratt also offer both OE Jaguar and an aftermarket Filtron alternative although the UK site is showing as out of stock today:




I thought XK cabin filters were an outrageous price but the XK8 fuel filter takes it to a new level.
