I am interested in finding out how many 2005 XKR conv were made that have the same options as mine. body color silver, top grey, backseat delete, 2 tone seats, Birdseye Maple interior trim. How might I go about finding this info?

The two tone seats sound like a Portfolio edition but I've never heard of any factory option to delete the rear seat. So, this sounds like you have some custom work by a previous owner.

Thanks, Not a portfolio edition. I have been told by Jaguar dealer that these options were available as special order in 2005. May have been dealer installed? There has been no custom work done on this Jaguar.

 

I'm not aware of any quick way to get the data. Your best bet would be to write Jaguar (they may have a heritage program ) and see if they will answer-- unlikely, but worth a shot.

Sounds like an interesting spec car.

looks exactly like my car. only difference is I have added Detroit wheels I had from one of my former XKR,s. Can you tell me any additional info about history or how to find more info on mine.

Those rear seat removed are custom/homemade. It's a common mod in these cars since the rear seats are just for show anyways

 

The pics are from a Roadfly post from 2007, when the owner asked exactly the same question as you. The consensus was also the same that it was not stock. Maybe it is your car? I'm thinking maybe it was something the dealer did rather than the factory.

Good point in the RoadFly article is the rear seat belt guilds, OP does your car have the sear belt guilds?

You would not be the first person to have a dealer provide false. Most have no idea about any car they sell older than 2 or 3 years!

 

photos are my car. I can tell by the drivers seat release is upside down. Cannot find RoadFly in directory. Currently has 32,000mi looks same as it did when photos were taken but added 20 inch 5 spoke OEM wheels. I still have original wheels. Thanks to everyone
