Default 20mm Rear Anti-roll Bar by UltraRacing

Hi,
I would like to inform you all that the Rear anti roll bar of the UltraRacing ( Code: UR-AR20-293) is compatible not only for Jaguar XK8 4.0 (as shown on the site) but also for the XKR. in photographs install on my 2005 XKR.

The picture quality is not good ... but the result is what counts!

What are the results in terms of handling after installation? Can you feel/see the a real improvement in handling? How much does this cost and how difficult is it to install?

You have certainly done a great service to this community in terms of improving the suspension and handling of our Cats and I for one would like to say thanks.

They also make these strut braces as I have fitted to my XKR.

Like Mark, I'm interested in what the improvement feels like.

Jaxkr, same question for the braces... big difference?

Like the rest of us, inquiring minds need to know.

How much $$ and where are they purchased from (link or website)?

What about installation- do the bolts to anchor the bars use existing threaded bolt holes?

What exactly do these bars accomplish?

Thanks for your time and reply.

As always

Happy Motoring...

Results: i had just install this part. the car is more stable although it seems slightly more abrupt disconnections on the asphalt. But the improvements should be more evident at high speeds with greater stability and directionality. our cars have this flaw and that is that annoying floating effect at high speed due to the whole suspension assembly that to encourage too much comfort, penalizes the sporty driver.

costs: about 240 euro + shipping ( in Europe )

easy to install.

i say thanks to you and at all comunity . each of us to be a small contribution as I do and in the end we discover secrets and solve situations that would otherwise remain unsolved.
And so I'm really happy to be a part of this community and to give my contribution

please post also the photos about strut braces on XKR.

for others parts that you post photos under the car, i think that i can't install on my XKR .

1- Front Lower Bar / Front Member Brace Code: UR-LA4-1358

the XKR restilyng version from 2004 to 2006 is not free in part under the engine as it was the previous version but has a flat bottom coverage up to the gearbox and therefore in order to install this part you need to remove it permanently with worse aerodynamics. someone installed this part in a XKR 2004-2006?

2- Rear Lower Bar / Rear Member Brace Code: UR-RL3-1359

in the back there is a lip connected to the housing under the spare tire in my car is not there.
I think that this bar can be installed only in convertible versions and not in the coupe. Is your car a convertible?

the anti-roll bar is perfect but I have a problem:
the rear anti-roll bar drop links ( MNA3505AE ) I think they are too weak for the strength of this bar and are noisy .

someone knows if exists anti-roll bar drop links more robust to replace the original?

Yes there are........ made by me

BALL- 52100 Bearing Steel heat treated then hard Chrome Plated and precision ground
RACE- Injection Moulded Kevlar Reinforced with PTFE, self-Lubricating and self-sealing
BODY- Chrome Molybdenum, heat treated and corrosion resistant

Basically a high performance rose joint, they will have titanium joiners and spacers, new bolts and nuts, polyurethane bushes where needed, not the cheapest but they have performance in mind!

I only have pics of the fronts at the moment and they do not show all the parts, there's also a couple of spacers again in titanium,a nut and bolt, you also get a new lower bolt that goes through the wishbone

Here's a pic of the rear drop links for the ARB, shown here with polyurethane Black Series bushes but will come with the standard purple bushes

Forgive the quality of the pic, not the best but gives you a good idea

OK this is what a full set looks like......

All new bolts, the only bolt that is not OE is the front ARB bolt, this is a 12mm caphead, all spacers and joiners are Titanium as stated before the rose joints are Chrome Moly, all pretty stuff if you want more info email or PM me......

I'm impressed with your custom parts XKRacer, and as a result, I've contacted you to order front and rear end links. Oh, and I ordered the rear sway bar from UltraRacing too. I wondered if there was an easy way to reduce some of the convertibles body roll. This looks just like what I was looking for.

They will not be noisy Luca, how can they be? What you might have to bear in mind is you have done so much to your suspension with Black Series Powerflex bushes, stiffer bracing and god knows what suspension you have now, fundamentally you are making your suspension harder and harder, great for track use but you do have to expect a few creaks and groans on road surfaces. But these drop links just go from your wishbone to you ARB which in theory is all rubber/poly mounted and provided the bushes are working correctly should be fine

No worries Matt always a pleasure, I have been toying with the idea of fitting the Ultra Racing bracing to my wife's convertible, the thing I hate the most is the scuttle shake/body roll, I need to investigate the V mounts really and other bushes but even with those sorted it is still an issue on my lumpy roads and I could be solving one issue to create another, you will have to let us know how you get on.......

Dear Tony,

my question was not so much to say. There are various types of bearing uniball.
For example, those who have used this photo, they are noisy.
Are SKF and can be recognized by having its seat in bronze and the ball freewheel with just your fingers.
Uniball bearings that have not noisy have inside a third seat in fiber (teflon or other) and you can not move the ball with your fingers.
That's why I asked the question.
