6HP26 ZF Woes.... RESOLVED
Update:
Zero ZF issues after more than 300 miles since the ZF Adaptations TSB procedure was performed at Flow Jaguar in Greensboro one week ago today. According to my wife, her XK8 continues to shift smoother than ever before....
At the risk of jinxing the vehicle, I'm officially calling this issue "resolved"....

Jon,
Excellent news.
I've added 'RESOLVED' to your thread title to help others looking for help with this same path in future.
I have every confidence in the results of your wife's test drive. Going back through the thread, she doesn't look to have spent much time at home so it's certainly been thorough. Hope she pays her own fuel bills!
Graham

Thanks, Graham. She indeed pays her own fuel bills. She probably spends more than twice as much on gas (er, sorry - petrol) than I do each year, and I drive two vehicles compared to her one. That may change come November 1st. She's taking early retirement from her job of more than 27 years and will probably be spending significantly more time at home. Feel free to open an early betting line of who will strangle or stab the other spouse first....
One important comment to any 6HP26 ZF owner unhappy with your shift quality:
Before you spend a single penny on what so-called "transmission experts" say you need (i.e. complete rebuilds, valve bodies, shift solenoids, torque converters, flux capacitors, etc.), try this ZF Adaptations TSB first. But go to a dealership that has a solid track record of success with this specific fix. Don't risk it with an indy - the track record is simply not there (at least in my neck of the woods, anyway)....
