Yes follow the codes no other way really.
Zircon Blue is a wonderful color and fairly rare too!

I had this code on mine, turned out to be the rubber hoses to the charcoal canisters that are sandwiched between the chassis and rear subframe. They had disintegrated.

Could be something as simple as an O-ring in the evap system or even the fuel filler cap being open.

Yes you have a leak in the EVAP system somewhere. Note that it says small as there is another code for large leaks. Most common way to trouble shoot EVAP problems is the smoke test. EVAP is evaporative emissions so mainly gas fumes from the gas tank. There is a pump that sucks fumes into the charcoal canister thru some valves. When the car is running under certain conditions these valves open and the car can draw these waste gas fumes back out of the charcoal canister and back into the engine to be burned.

Are all your readiness monitors set? Do you need to get an emissions check sometime?

I dont know what "readiness monitors" are?
And we no longer have emissions checks here in Florida
-is that test available at a mechanics shop?

Any decent OBDII code reader can tell you if your evaporative system's readiness monitors are properly set....

OK you should be good if they don't check that.
Like Jon89 said most scanners should give you what monitors are ready and which ones are not.
If your interested here is a small article explaining the monitors.
Readiness Monitors

So you could just live with it? EVAP problems don't cause running or driving issues it's just a small bit of gas fumes we are talking about here. EVAP codes are a problem because of the expense of the repair and the fact that in most states your required to have them set before passing emissions. The pump and some of the hardware is above the rear sub frame.
Dropping this to get to the pump is NOT fun!

Once again I truly appreciate this info - this forum is the best i have belonged to over the years due to members here being very interactive and making prompt responses.
The XK seems to run fine so far ..I'm making a concreted effort to take it for a drive at least thru my neighborhood every morning.
Do you think this is adequate or would it be better to get it up to speed on the highway (which Id rather avoid) ?

as long as you get the engine up to full operational temperature and do vary the rpm as much as possible with manual shifting , I don’t believe the speed of vehicle is that important.

thanks again for the prompt response
I have not manually shifted it yet...never had a dual transmission like this
I have had manual trannys in a few past vehicles and many motorcycles
I guess Im getting old (near 70) and a bit hesitant about shifting this XK ..

No clutch pedal, so no coordination to bother with.

with the performance button engaged, from a dead stop the transmission will start out in 1st gear with the gear lever in D or with selector in 2. It will then shift to 2nd automatically either way.

when you feel the need to get out of 2nd you can manually move the lever to 3rd and so on and so on…

Or you can just start out in D and with enough gas pedal, the engine will rev “high enough” before the auto transmission shifts to the next higher gear.

Whether you decide to shift manually or let the car to the work, putting enough leg into the gas pedal will get the rpm as high as needs to be to exercise the engine properly.

I imagine the old timers are laughing at my terminology.

Jaguar calls it the “Sport Mode”

Make sure the gas cap is on snug. Gas caps can set of that fault, but if the Check Engine Light went off, that's not likely to be loose.
