Default 97 smokes a little

my car is burning a little oil I think from the exhaust. Anything I could add to the oil to maybe solve my problem? Is it possible it could be a sensor or something? I hope it's not the rings, don't want to have to mess with a motor rebuild. Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

You don't indicate the miles on the engine but check the breather tube from the right valve cover to the air filter\throttle body duct for oil. That might indicate you have a serious engine problem.

You car's model year indicates that you are subject to the Nikasil issues. See the FAQ Sticky above for more than you ever wanted to know on that subject.

Many recommend a higher weight oil and or an oil additive such as 'Restore'

My first Nikasil XK8 at 106k miles had new car compression and used no oil so maybe you are not doomed.

Tell it that even a little smoking is bad. Stick some nicotine patches on the fender.
