My first time on the site, so I hope I'm going about this the right way. If not, I ask that someone will kindly redirect me.

I need Part # LJA1410AK. This is AKA Powertrain Control Module, ECMPCU. The batch # is 079700651312V. It must have been produced between December 1996 - May 2007 to work properly. No aftermarket products, please.

Also, the same part is needed for a '98 XK8.

If anyone knows where I can get this, I would really appreciate your help.

 

There are no aftermarket parts, and S/H replacements are scarce and, consequently, expensive as the '97 ECM is unique to that year.

It may be possible to get it repaired, depending on what is wrong.

The 98 ECM easier to find as there is a crossover with the XJ8 of similar vintage.

 

The 1998 ECM will need an IMMOBILIZATION_SETUP for a North American Jaguar.(it is NOT 'plug&play')

I've NEVER tried any of them or anything like this. Jus say'n.
