99' xk8

i own a XK8 .. notice that their is that jaguar in the middle of my bonnet other than logo badge .. like the one that fits on xj's .. is that normal ? i never seen any xr8 with that full jaguar is it an option that were order when that car was bought by the first owner ? plus i dont think it was centered in the bonnet .. !!

yeah me 2 i don't like the look of it .. but the problem that my bonnet has been holedto put that jaguar if i want to remove it there will be a hole !! they have to close it with something and then paint it again !! thanks for your replay

I would just leave it, not worth the trouble of removing it. It will impress other people, because for some reason non jag owners really love the hood ornament.

I'd remove it, fill the holes on the bonnet, mount the leaper on a base, and use it as a paperweight.

I agree with Yurikaze.......... The XK8's styling is degraded with a hood ornament.

It's not a factory option. Must have been placed by the PO.

Pics please. I've always wanted an XK, but felt that a leaper was a necessary part of a jag. I thought it'd be a good idea.

LOL! Sorry to laugh mate, but I'm sure that the PO put it on, not a dealer. What a crappy job. Any pics of the entire car? Maybe it flows better than what it looks like there.

Hate to say it, but time to nut up and do the body work to have that removed. The paperweight idea is good, but difficult with those leapers because of the spring on the bottom. Once removed, take it to a trophy shop and see what they can do to mount on some nice wood or a racing green marble base. We use the older hood leapers to make ours.
