Slight wheelspin at any point on the journey?

On a 4.2, if the warnings don't disappear on the next start, dirty wheel speed sensors or poor harness connectors are the first thing to check.

Hi Dodger,
Sounds to me like your battery is on its way out. Usual symptoms are those you have described.

Worth a look before you shell out on something that might not be wrong.

It is NOT dangerous to drive.

When the ABS and DSC warnings are showing, the vehicle behaves as if these systems were not fitted (see sections I've boxed in red for DSC):

And for the ABS:

Yes, make sure they reconnect the vent tube that vents fumes from the battery outside of the boot.

I recently bought an XK8 carrying a failing aftermarket Bosch S3, which I duly replaced with a genuine Jaguar battery. Now, it happens that former owner had spent a minor fortune in replacing ABS components to get rid of an error message So I too would suggest replacing battery for a start.

The ABS warning will go out when the fault causing it is cleared.

The CEL needs to be reset with a Code Reader / Scan Tool. If the underlying cause is not fixed, it will come back on after a while.
