Default abs light on

I had the same problem with my 05 XK8. Dealer replaced a control cable, which took 8 weeks to get. Under warranty. No idea of the cost. Light will still come on at times, as with most "caution" messages in the Jaguar, I tend to ignore them. Having owned Jaguars and British cars for more than 40 years, I expect false readings from time to time. If it is not something like a hight temp, or oil light I tend to monitor the situation and not get too concerned.

could be a few things jaysto, i'd try these in this order...to see if it clears your MIL

If you could get your ABS codes read, you could at least tell which wheel was affected. Since you don't...

(1) clean all the wheel sensors with dish detergent really well, brake dust accumulates and causes havoc...this fixed my intermittent traction control message

(2) wiring harness to wheel sensor

(3) wheel sensor - you could swap side to side, but you gotta check the code on an OBDII reader to see if you're making any headway or not

(4) abs module, doesn't happen alot, but has been a few that I have heard of
