Unhappy ABS Light Staying on

My friend Lance has 2 Jag's, a 1998 XK8 and a 1998 XJ8.
He has been having an issue with the ABS light on the XJ8 and took one of the Speed Sensors from his XK8 to verify the problem.
Now the new problem is that when he put the good Speed Sensor back on the XK8, he had the key on and the ABS Light is now on all the time,
Do any of you know how to get the light off?
Thanks, Dave B.

My experience has been that the light will go out on it's own after a few hundred feet. It is possible that the wire inside the cable was ready to fail due to flexing and he broke it. But try a hard reset. Disconnect the negative battery cable and touch it to the positive terminal. This allows the capacitors in the modules to discharge and start from zero.
