Can anyone tell me what the correct part number is for the ABS Wheel Speed Sensor for a 2003 XKR?
I have had one fail and the replacement item I got from a parts supplier appears physically compatible but electrically they appear to be different.
The original is marked 2r83-2c190-ab / ATS 10.0711-6069.3
Replacement parts supplied are marked LJA2226-AA / ATS 10.0751-1145.3
Although they are physically compatible, I am guessing they are electrically different. The original sensor on another wheel measure 9.1M Ohms resistance
Replacement sensor measures 1.1k Ohms resistance.
By a process of rotating parts between wheels I have concluded it is definitely that the original sensor has failed and that the replacement isn't compatible. I am pretty certain it isn't a wiring faut.
The OBD fault codes involved are C1165 & C1175 (etc) for right-rear and left-rear respectively which change to the location of the new or replacement sensors.
It is actually the 2nd replacement sensor that I have acquired as I thought the first was faulty.
Should the LJA2226-AA part work in my 2003 XKR?
Which vehicles had the 2r83-2c190-ab parts.
Hi
I have a 2001 XKR and the sensors are LJA2226 AA. Resistance reads 1.1K.
I have not seen the sensor from your XKR before. 9.1 meg ohms seems very high.
Do your good sensors read 9.1meg ohms?
The sensors changed from the passive type in pre 2003 XKs (ABS) to the two wire active type in 2003 (DSC). They are not interchangeable ( Which seems to be unknown to some, particularly ebay sellers)
Your first photo shows the later type, the second the earlier. Sorry I don't have the two part numbers!
