Default Accessory relay missing

Seems that the relay labeled “accessory connector relay” is missing - not sure what this controls - and if it should be missing. Strange - and advice appreciated.

I don’t have one either. Everything works, never modified.

My 2002 XKR coupe has the same arrangement. Everything works fine .

What year is your car ? Coupe or convertible ?

That relay is not normally present unless the auxiliary power sockets (cigar lighter socket in the glovebox and boot) have been added. There are instructions for this on member Gus' site:

http://jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepa...owerSocket.pdf

...although, strangely, the relay itself doesn't get a mention.

I've put some stuff in this thread about how I used these accessory feeds... Read down the thread.

I used the connector in the boot to supply my back up camera - I didn't need to add a relay. There are two 12v supplies in the accessory connector, one is switched on the ignition (via the missing relay) and one is permanent on, so no need for the relay. You would imagine that the Jaguar accessory socket kit is ignition switched, but maybe not.

Thanks. I should have looked closer.
Both of the kit harnesses being separately inline fused & the non-mention of the relay certainly point to unswitched B+.
