Adaptive Driving Button on Dash

Adaptive Driving Button on Dash
Can the adaptive driving feature be deactivated with the button that has a vehicle icon surrounded by a triangle? I can turn it off, but when on cruise control the adaptive driving feature seems to come back on automatically.
