How do I disable the "Lim" feature when using cruise control?
I'm unable to deactivate the "Lim" feature when using cruise control in my 2023 F-PACE SVR. The feature is annoying when descending long grades or when on rolling hills. Plus, I suspect that the Lim feature needlessly wears out brakes prematurely. On all our other older Jags that have the Lim feature, it doesn't activate except when I push the "Lim" button on the steering wheel. In this 2023 the "Lim" button is lit and the system activates whenever I activate cruise control. When I turn off the Lim feature, cruise control is also deactivated! It makes no sense. Is this the norm for 2023 Jags? None of the other 7 Jags we've owned that have the same issue. In those other vehicles the "Lim" feature doesn't activate unless I push the "Lim" button, whether or not I activate regular cruise control or radar cruise control.
Sounds like you need to get it checked out.
From the manual:-
Press the LIM button (1) to toggle between cruise control and speed limiter. The instrument panel displays the information lamp for the selected system. See SPEED LIMITER (GREEN) and CRUISE CONTROL (GREEN).
While driving at the desired speed, briefly move the speed control switch (5) upward to the SET+ position (3) to activate cruise control. The instrument panel displays an information lamp to confirm that the system is operational. See CRUISE CONTROL (GREEN).
Cruise control icon.
The cruise control icon on the steering wheel controls also illuminates to confirm that the system is operational.
Move the speed control switch upward to the SET+ position to increase the set speed:

Move the speed control switch upward to the SET+ position to increase the set speed:
- A single movement of the switch increases the vehicle's speed by 2 km/h (1 mph).
- Hold the speed control switch in the SET+ position to increase the vehicle's speed by 10 km/h (5 mph).
I read the manual but it says nothing about the speed limiter ALWAYS engaging when cruise control is activated.
The speed limiter and light shouldn't illuminate unless I select it. That's the way it works on our other Jags.
