Ok riddle me this. Just took a nice drive, got home and when I started the card again (2006 XK8 Vicky Coupe) in ignition position II the left adaptive headlight moor just runs and runs... with start up it continues. Only stops if I turn on the lights.
No errors on dash though.

 

What do you mean it runs and runs? It keeps going up and down?

 

Is that motor actually moving the headlights while it continues to run? If not, its mechanical link to the headlight assembly may have broken. That link has always appeared to be quite flimsy to me....

 

It just runs and the lamps do not move. But if I push the fob headlight button it cycles and moves as normal. Super strange.
