Default Air bag sensor routing

Recently, I replaced the overhead console (with the courtesy lights and garage door openers) on my 2002 XKR with one I had bought about a year ago. The front plastic clip had broken and even though I had fashioned a bracket of my own that enabled me to use it for about a year, it finally fell down for good a couple of weeks ago. Since I wasn't ready when it fell to replace it at that moment, I pulled it out, unplugging the two sets of wires, one on the right and one on the left. Soon after, I noticed my airbag warning light come on but did not make the "connection" between the two. About once a year my airbag warning light comes on and usually a jiggling of the wires under my seat will correct it. This time, no matter what kind of jiggling, the warning stayed. My slow witted brain took a couple of days to figure out that it might be related to the unplugged wires in the console, so I plugged in the new console, started the car, and voila, airbag warning light gone. Unplugged it just to make sure, and it went back on.

So there may be yet another reason responsible for setting off the airbag warning light, like a bad or dirty connection in the overhead console.
